UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions, announced that Donna Morris, executive vice president and chief people officer at Walmart Inc., has been appointed to the UKG Board of Directors.

“By leading global HR and people operations for the world’s largest private employer and retailer, Donna’s deep understanding of the frontline workforce and how technology and innovation are reshaping employee experiences will be invaluable to our board,” said Aron Ain, executive chair of the UKG Board of Directors. “Her unique perspective and incredible expertise will help UKG continue to innovate on behalf of our customers.”

Morris brings extensive leadership experience in innovative people solutions, agile team development, and building high-performance cultures. At Walmart, she leads Global People with a focus on the associate experience for over 2 million associates worldwide, including 1.6 million in the U.S. In her role, Morris drives a people-led, tech-powered focus by fostering growth and belonging, prioritizing associates’ wellbeing, and leveraging digital tools and AI to enhance the work experience.

“I’m thrilled to join the UKG Board of Directors and look forward to working with Aron, Jennifer Morgan, and the UKG team,” said Morris. “Tens of millions of people worldwide use UKG solutions every day, which gives UKG a unique understanding of what is happening across today’s workforce. Together, we can transform the way people across the frontline work, resulting in a better overall experience for employees and their customers alike.”

Prior to joining Walmart in 2020, Morris spent more than 17 years at Adobe, where she held a variety of leadership roles, including serving as chief human resources officer (CHRO) and executive vice president of employee experience. Through her exemplary leadership, Morris was named to the inaugural Forbes Future of Work 50 list and Mass Market Retailer’s Most Influential Women in Retailing list. She has also been recognized by Human Resource Executive as a Top 100 HR Tech Influencer.
