Mercer, a global consulting leader in advancing health, wealth and career, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, announced that Global Chief Information Officer Gail Evans has been named Global Chief Digital Officer. Ms. Evans will lead Mercer initiatives in launching and further developing digital strategies across existing and native businesses, new products, data & analytics, and digital technology delivery. She remains a member of Mercer’s Executive Committee, reporting to Julio Portalatin, Mercer’s President and CEO.

“Digital is profoundly transforming the way companies work,” said Mr. Portalatin. “At Mercer, we are leading by example in becoming a digitally agile organization and bringing the best digital thinking and solutions to all of our clients’ workforce issues and opportunities. By focusing on native digital experiences that go beyond traditional efforts, the Chief Digital Officer role ensures that Mercer leverages data and analytics, digital platforms and architecture in a powerful way. I can’t think of anyone more suited than Gail to lead us into this exciting digital era.”
