Leslie V. Norwalk Joins CareCentrix’s Board of Directors

CareCentrix announced that Leslie V. Norwalk has been elected to CareCentrix’s board of directors. With healthcare experience spanning more than two decades, Norwalk will provide strategic direction to help ensure CareCentrix’s continued growth.

Prior to joining CareCentrix’s board of directors, Leslie Norwalk served as Acting Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) during the Bush administration. She was responsible for the day-to-day operations of Medicare, Medicaid, State Child Health Insurance Programs, survey and certification of health care facilities, and all other federal health care initiatives.

Before serving as the Acting Administrator, Norwalk was CMS’ Deputy Administrator, where she oversaw the implementation of the hundreds of changes made under the Medicare Modernization Act, including the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit. She is widely respected across the political spectrum as an expert and an innovator in health care services and technology.

Leslie works in the Washington, D.C. office of Epstein Becker Green, P.C. and serves as strategic counsel to Epstein Becker Green, P.C., EBG Advisors and National Health Advisor. She also serves as an advisor to three private equity firms and on the board of directors of NuVasive, Endologix, Providence Service Corp., Cedar Gate, Abode Healthcare, Med First, HPOne, Linkwell Health, and healtheo360.

Ms. Norwalk holds a juris doctor degree from the George Mason University School of Law, where she was a Dean’s Scholar and an editor of the George Mason Law Review. Additionally, she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations from Wellesley College, where she graduated cum laude.
