Patricia L. Lewis serves as Chief Sustainability Officer and Executive Vice-President for UnitedHealth Group.
In this role, Lewis is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the enterprise ESG strategy, including environmental sustainability goals, as well as UnitedHealth Group’s health equity and diversity, equity and inclusion commitments and initiatives. Lewis previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of UnitedHealth Group.
Before joining UnitedHealth, Lewis was Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Lockheed Martin, leading a large global team to deploy a human capital strategy in more than 50 countries. She has successfully led human capital teams within complex and highly regulated industries.
Lewis has served as a director of the Lear Corporation since November 2020.
Lewis has led several major initiatives at United-Health Group, including the company’s recent $100 million commitment to advance health equity. This commitment will focus on helping build a racially and ethnically diverse health workforce. The funding will provide scholarships and support to 10,000 underrepresented future clinicians and upskilling health professionals to help in obtaining academic degrees or other professional credentials.
