Kathy Reardon serves as Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer for Dollar General.
Reardon has served as Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer since August 2020. As the Chief People Officer, Reardon has leadership responsibility for all Human Resources initiatives with more than 163,000 employees, 18,000 stores and 28 distribution centers, as of March 2022.
Reardon joined Dollar General as director, human resources in September 2009 and was promoted to vice president, talent management in October 2012. She became vice president, retail human resources in October 2014 and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resources in March 2019 and then senior vice president and chief people officer in May 2019.
Prior to joining Dollar General, Reardon held several positions of increasing responsibility at Centex, serving as Director of Human Resources from October 2007 until September 2009. Since beginning her career in May 1998, Reardon also held various roles with Carrier Corporation, including Manager of Human Resources from August 2003 until August 2005.
Reardon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.
