Karen Peetz joined Citi in 2020 as Chief Administrative Officer.
In this role she oversees Citi’s Transformation Office, including its remediation efforts, Citi’s Regulatory Engagement globally, Business Risk & Controls and Data oversight.
Previously, Peetz spent almost 20 years at BNY Mellon, ultimately becoming the President of the firm until her departure in 2016. While President, she oversaw the company’s global client management group, covering the firm’s top 500 clients worldwide; regional management (Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Latin America); and its treasury services business.
Prior to her appointment as President, Peetz led BNY Mellon’s Financial Markets and Treasury Services group, comprised of: the alternative investment services, broker dealer and advisor services, Pershing, corporate trust, depositary receipts, share owner services and treasury services businesses.
Peetz has been active in various corporate and nonprofit boards, including: Trane Technologies,The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America and Johns Hopkins University and the Global Lyme Alliance.
Peetz is the former Chair of the Boards of United Way of New York City and Penn State University’s Board of Trustees.
